The rig used for this record was a simple yet effective paternoster rig. The rod used was a 10ft abu garcia Quiver tip rod with 8lb line al the way through. At the business end of the rig the idea was simplicity. a 1 ounce bomb stopped by ledger stop with a 10 inch leeder of again 8lb mono tied to a size 6 hook, with Luncheon meat as bait.

This rig was agin a simple paternoster rig . This time the tench was caught on a 12ft carp rod with 10lb line straight through. at the business end was a 1 1/2 ounce weight with a 10 inch leeder of braid to a size 8 hook with a pop up strawberry boilie over a bed of maggot.

The rig used here was a typical deadbait float rig. the rod used was a 12ft carp rod loaded with 12lb line. at the business end was a medium sized pike float. the dead bait was fished at a depth of around 4 feet on the bottom with 2 size 6/8 treble hooks with a strong 10 inch wire leader . The bait was a small dead roach of about 4-5 inches long.

As simple as any rig can be . 12 ft wilson avon rod loaded with 10lb line straight through to a size 8 hook with breadcrust as bait.
